A consumer version would likely include Outlook Mobile, Office 365, Skype, and other services. Windows 10 will not be included as most people buying a consumer package would already have the latest version of the platform on their PC.

It was widely predicted Microsoft would be launching a Surface Book 3 during the spring. It is now unclear whether the company wants to unveil a new product through a virtual event. Instead, the company could decide to postpone the launch and wait until it can host an audience. What is certain is the Surface Book 2 is due a generational upgrade and the third iteration of the laptop should land sometime this year.
